With the rapid rise of retail investors—12.1 million in 2023, 14.8 million in 2024, and around 17 million by mid-2025—Indonesia has become the largest retail investor base in ASEAN, yet retail ownership remains only 18.2% of the market (Invest Indonesia, 2025). This gap underscores the need to expand participation and awareness of diverse investment instruments, from equities and crypto to mutual funds, sukuk, bonds, and EFTs.

IRIS 2025 serves as a national platform to bridge this need, connecting stakeholders, product providers, and educators through seminars, exhibitions, and workshops. The event empowers especially the younger generation to explore opportunities, understand risks, and strengthen literacy, marking a concrete step toward building an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable investment ecosystem for Indonesia’s future.

The projected potential growth of retail investors in 2025–2026 is 20% and remains untapped. With the launch of IRIS, an additional 20% growth is expected, building on the 18.2% share of total market ownership held by retail investors in 2025.
